Niva (pronounced neeva) Property is an independent buyer’s agent whose vision is to help people achieve their property dreams by purchasing quality properties at the right price. Niva Property Buyers was founded by Nigel Watts together with his wife Vanessa, and is supported by a team of trusted partners and advisors.

In my role as a founder of Niva Property Buyers, I find immense satisfaction in guiding owner occupiers and investors through their property journeys in the beautiful Newcastle and Lake Macquarie regions. Having roots firmly planted in Newcastle for over three decades, I have a deep connection to this community that resonates in every property recommendation I make. Settled comfortably in the blue-chip Merewether area, I’ve diligently built a substantial portfolio spanning multiple states, each property telling its own unique story.

From navigating the emotions of finding people their dream home, the intricacies of finding the perfect investment to match someone’s portfolio and life goals, or revitalizing existing properties through renovation or development, I take pride in the diverse range of projects I undertake.

Beyond my work in property, I’ve spent over 18 years assisting construction companies and governments in implementing technology for asset valuation. It’s a field where precision and foresight are paramount, and I bring that same level of dedication to my everyday work, ensuring that every property assessment is thorough and insightful.

With a background in engineering and a passion for renovations and property investment, I bring a unique perspective to the table. Whether it’s advising clients on investment opportunities or overseeing projects to maximize property value, I’m driven by a genuine desire to help others achieve their goals.

As a Qualified Property Investment Advisor, licensed Real Estate Agent, and prior Naval Officer, I approach each interaction with professionalism and integrity. My goal is simple: to provide tailored solutions that meet the needs and exceed the expectations of those I serve. It’s an absolute privilege to be entrusted with such an important aspect of my clients’ lives.

I also have a Masters of Information Technology from the University of Newcastle; I use the skills from this to help navigate and make sense of the minefield of property data and technology in order to help my clients.

Outside of being a buyer’s agent, I enjoy my spare time with my family, keeping fit and love all watersports especially swimming, windsurfing and sailing.
